Let’s go over what each challenge demands. Some of these challenges will take multiple days to complete for casual players, but don’t forget that you have until the rest of the season to complete them. This week asks you to Masterwork an armor piece, earn five Infamy ranks in Gambit, and earn the Salvager’s Salvo Grenade Launcher. This week’s set of challenges are rather time-consuming, but most of these challenges grant four times as much XP. The fifth set of Seasonal Challenges have been released for Destiny 2, giving players a new set of Triumphs to complete for Bright Dust, XP, and other goodies. Lack of a really compelling alternative to Surplus and Outlaw in the 3rd column to pair with Frenzy push the perk's value down in this instance. When they eventually release weapons that can roll Demo + Frenzy BUT struggle with poor base reload speed.those will be the primary weapons that Frenzy will be the BIS on because it can provide you the damage buff and a pairing like Demo without completely sacrificing reload speed as you would for any similar roll without Frenzy. That being said, Frenzy gives you the flexibility to not necessarily need to run a reload perk which bodes really well for its future on upcoming weapon designs. Having control over when your damage buffs start and end has real value that seems to be going understated for the sake of argument IMO. I'd probably rather use an endless buffing perk like Rampage or Swash for normal difficulty content (if I'm using a damage perk at all) or, again, OFA. But if you enjoy it for general play, that's cool. Until then, pass on most current Primaries it can roll on, with the exception being the Imperial Needle, where it is the best damage booster for hard content that it can roll. If Frenzy gets its activation time lowered to 7 or 8 seconds, it will move up on my list. When it drops off, another second and it's going again. OFA activation on any AR or SMG is going to happen in under a second most of the time. Great in normal content, BIS in hard content. When you take into consideration the frequency of Frenzy downtime outside of Battlegrounds or other horde mode activities (again, that active is down more than you realize in activities like Strikes, Public Events, or even Gambit when having to go from one location to another), it becomes very clear OFA is the far, far superior perk. My OFA hand cannons have Rapid Hit and Feeding Frenzy. I experience little to no meaningful downtime on any OFA weapon as a result. But remember that's why you pair OFA with a reload perk like Surplus or Outlaw as I've said several times now. On the Cabal SMG, for example, it's a 43% faster reload speed (near half!), so Frenzy will effectively provide a 37% damage bonus meaning it will do more DPS than OFA, while also damn near maxing out the handling, and being effective on bosses when they are no ads, and allowing you to weapon swap and still benefit from the buff when you return.Ĭlick to shrink.I understand what you mean. * Massive bonus to reload speed & handling dependent on the gun. * Just need to have the weapon equipped (not out) and be in combat for 12 seconds, and then lasts as long as you deal or receive damage for 5 seconds.

* Need to shoot 3 different targets within 5 seconds of each other to get the buff. Yeah, OFA has the technically higher boost (35% for OFA vs 20% on Frenzy), but Frenzy reduces reload time by about half which means over time it's actually more. Frenzy provides more of a damage boost than OFA too.
